Diagnosis
DEXTA looks at the bone quality bone quality but does not show if a fracture is present. A plain film X-ray will clearly show the fracture.
Treatment
The spine contains facet joints. These joints can become irritated with a spinal compression fracture, and the chiropractor can gently mobilise these facet joints around the fracture to reduce stress on the spine.
Thoracic extension exercises with therabands will be given.
Soft tissue work on surrounding musculature can relieve discomfort.
